About UPTU Lucknow

Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) was founded by Uttar Pradesh Government in year 2000. The University is affiliating in nature and its jurisdiction spans the entire state of U.P. in affiliating B.Tech. M.B.A., M.C.A., B.Arch., B. Pharma., B.H.M.C.T., M.Tech. and Ph.D. programmes in 785 colleges/institutions imparting graduate, postgraduate and doctoral level training in all government and private institutions located all over U.P. in engineering, technology, architecture, pharmacy, hotel management and catering technology as well as M.B.A. and M.C.A. programmes. The total number of affiliated colleges was 49 in the year 2000 which has now gone up to 238 and the University is still growing. The University Conducts State level Entrance Examination U.P.-S.E.E. for admission to various programs in institutions affiliated to UPTU and some Universities of Uttar Pradesh

(c) Faculty Aptitude Test: UG & PG in any stream with 60% marks secured from a recognized University

Minimum- 18 years

Maximum: 60 years

Application Fee

UR/OBC: Rs.2000/-

SC/ST/Women/PH: Rs.1000/-

Payment will be done via online mode using Credit Card, Debit Card or Net Banking facilities

Candidates have to submit their application form via online mode from the official portal i.e. aktu.ac.in .After submission take a printout of it and forward it on below mentioned address along with attachment of demand draft.

UPTU Admissions 2014 Details of Courses and Admission Criteria

The Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) invites admissions to its different courses in both under graduate as well as post graduate courses through a common entrance exam, popularly called as the SEE (State Entrance Exam) 2014 conducted every year in the months of May/ June respectively for all the candidates. Lots of candidates appear every year in the concerned entrance exam to take admissions in different courses of the university.

The entrance exam for the current session i.e. 2014-15 was conducted on 20^th April 2014 and 27^th April 2014 on the exam centres as specified by UPTU for this purpose.

UPTU Admission Details 2014:

The candidates who wish to take admissions in the Uttar Pradesh Technical University courses should participate and qualify in the SEE (State Entrance Examination). The candidates can avail admission in a particular course of the university through the merit –cut off and seats available in the university for that particular course of the university curriculum.

 Available Courses:

1. Undergraduate Courses:

First Year in B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology); B.Arch (Bachelor of Archeology); B.Pharma (Bachelor of Pharmacy); BHMCT; BFAD and BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts)

Second Year in B.Tech and B.Pharma (Lateral Entry)

2. Post Graduate Courses:

First Year in MBA (Master of Business Administration); MCA (Master of Computer Applications); MAM (Dual Degree)

Second Year in MCA (Master of Computer Applications) Lateral Entry

3. PhD courses

The candidates who wish to take admissions in the PhD courses should qualify in the entrance exam held separately for the PhD courses usually in the months of October/ November respectively for all the eligible candidates.

Eligibility for Admissions:

For Post Graduate Courses:

The applicants should be at least graduation passed from any recognized colleges/ universities for taking admissions in any of the above stated post graduation courses.

For Under Graduate Courses:

The applicants should be at least intermediate/ Class 12^th passed from any of the recognized central or state boards of India for this purpose.

For PhD Courses:

The applicants should have completed their post graduation with good academic records to participate in the doctoral courses of the university.
