A Joint Entrance Examination or JEE is organised by Orissa Government to admit students in courses like Bachelor of Technology, Bachelor of Archaeology, Bachelor in Medicine and Surgery, Bachelor in Dental Surgery, Bachelor in Pharmacy, Masters in Business Administration, Masters in Computer Applications, Post Graduate Diploma in Management, Executive course in PGDM, PGAT and lateral entry into programs such as Bachelor of Archaeology, Bachelor of Technology and Bachelor of Pharmacy. The successful candidates will gain admission in various colleges, institutes and Universities in Orissa. Eligibility Criteria for this examination

# For Engineering or Technology programs, the eligibility criteria is
– Passing minimum 10+2 examination from CHSE in Orissa with Physics and Mathematics as must qualify subjects and Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology as any of the disciplines
– The applicants need to pass the qualifying exam with minimum fifty percent marks in aggregate in case of candidates belonging to General Category
– The applicants need to pass the qualifying exam with minimum forty five percent marks in aggregate in case of candidates belonging to Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe Category
– Candidates who are appearing in the examination or waiting for the result of the qualifying examination can also appear for this entrance test
# For Pharmacy Programs, the eligibility criteria is
– Passing minimum 10+2 examination from CHSE in Orissa with Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects and Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology as one of the subjects
– The applicants need to pass the qualifying exam with minimum fifty percent marks in aggregate in case of candidates belonging to General Category
– The applicants need to pass the qualifying exam with minimum forty five percent marks in aggregate in case of candidates belonging to Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe Category
– Candidates who are appearing in the examination or waiting for the result of the qualifying examination can also appear for this entrance test
