The Nagpur University was brought into existence in the year 1923 for the purpose of providing higher education to the candidates enrolled in different university programmes. The university provides education in a number of disciplines through its 39 Post Graduate Teaching Departments, 3 constituent colleges/ institutions, Laxminarayan Institute of Technology and about 842 colleges attached to its jurisdiction. Nagpur University Admissions 2016:

The Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University announces admissions through an entrance exam held in the June/ July months for all the candidates. The university provides admissions to all the eligible candidates through the entrance exam. The candidates short listed in the entrance exam will be called for counseling at the university premises.

Eligibility Criteria:

The candidates in order to enroll themselves in the university course programmes must fulfill the minimum eligibility conditions as required for this purpose.

For Under Graduate Courses:

The applicants in order to avail admissions in any of the graduation level courses should be 10+2/ Intermediate in the concerned subjects from Nagpur Board or any recognized state/ central boards of India.

For Certificate Courses:

The candidates in order to avail admissions in the certificate courses under foreign languages should be at least 10+2 in any subject for this purpose. Whereas, the candidates who are taking admissions in the Certificate Courses under Social Work / Library Sciences should be Matriculation/ Class 10^th passed from any recognized Boards of India.

For Post Graduate Courses:

The applicants who wish to enroll themselves in any of the PG Degree Courses of the university must be a graduate in the concerned discipline. The candidates who are appearing in the final year of their qualifying degree exams can also apply provided they get their results and degrees before the end of the counseling /admission procedure for Nagpur University.

For Bachelor of Education/ MBA Admissions:

The candidates for availing admissions in the Bachelor of Education/ Master of Business Administration course must be having a bachelors’ degree with a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST candidates) for being considered in the concerned university programmes.
