CET Entrance Exam 2014 Details of Exam for Maharashtra State

Maharashtra CET 2014 Details:

Name of the Exam: Maharashtra Common Entrance Test

Conducting Authority: Directorate of Technical Education Maharashtra

Course of Admission: Under Graduate Courses

Pattern of Exam:

There will be questions put up from the core subjects studied in the qualifying exams which includes the following:

I Section: Mathematics

II Section: Physics

III Section: Chemistry

Marking Scheme:

The candidates will be penalized in the form of deduction of one –fourth marks for each wrong attempts made by them. The questions left un- attempted will be awarded no marks.

Mode of Exam:

The candidates can appear in the exam in either of the modes- online or offline as per their conveniences.

Eligibility for Exam:

The candidates should be Intermediate/ Class 12^th passed in the subjects for which the application has been made. The candidates applying for the Engineering Courses should be passed in the PCM Group. The candidates should have passed in all the five subjects in the qualifying exam for this purpose.

Age Bar:

The candidates should be born on or after 1^st October 1989 (1984 for SC/ST & PWD)

Application Procedure for MHT CET 2014:

The candidates should log on to the website of the Directorate of Technical Education Maharashtra for applying to the concerned exam. The website will contain the link for the online applications from where the candidates can fill their online application forms. The candidates should enter the application number and password as given in the application kit for registration. The application forms filled after uploading of image and signatures can be printed and attested by the Head of the Institution last attended for this purpose.

For UR Category: Rs700

For Reserved Category: Rs500

Payment Modes: Pay Order drawn in favor of the “Director, Technical Education, Maharashtra State” payable at Mumbai from any nationalized Banks of India
