XAT Exam Pattern 2014 for Admissions to MBA Courses in XLRI
The Xavier Aptitude Test is the qualifying exam for all the eligible candidates who wish to enrol themselves in the two year full time Masters in Business Administration course programme. The course can be availed in the XLRI (Xavier Labour Research Institute) and other participating colleges in the concerned entrance exam. The exam is organized by the Xavier Labour Research Institute usually in the months of November/ December respectively. Exam Pattern:
The Xavier Aptitude Test is conducted in objective modes having multiple choice based questions on the following main sections.
There will be two parts in the paper – Paper I and Paper II respectively and the following sections:
Paper Pattern for Paper I:
Section 1: Verbal Ability
Section 2: Decision Making
Section 3: Quantitative Aptitude and
Section 4: General Awareness
Total Number of Questions: 80-90
Duration of Exam: two hours and 40-45 minutes
Paper Pattern for Part II:
This will consist of subjective questions on the essay writing and comprehension etc,
Duration of Exam: 20 minutes
Marking Criteria:
The candidates will be given 1 mark for each correct answer marked by them while there will be a deduction of 0.25 marks for all the wrong answers marked by them respectively.
Modes of Examination:
The Xavier Aptitude Test is conducted in paper pencil modes only. The candidates will be provided OMR (Optical Marking Reader) sheets for answering the questions. The candidates should use only Blue/ Black Ball Point Pens for marking answers.
The Xavier Aptitude Test is a National Level entrance exam conducted by XLRI (Xavier Labour Research Institute) Jamshedpur for admitting students qualifying in the concerned entrance exam in the institute as well as other 100 B- Schools in India.
