Vidyasagar University Admit Cards released online for 2014 entrance exams online

The Vidyasagar University has been named after one of the renowned personalities of West Bengal- “Pandit Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar”. The university has been set up by the passing of Vidyasagar University Act 1981 (West Bengal Act XVIII of 1981) by the government of West Bengal. The university received the University Grants Commission recognition on 1^st March 1990. Presently, the university constitutes 27 Post Graduate Departments and 46 Under Graduate Courses to provide for the higher education through university courses available.

The university admissions are invited every year in the months of June/ July through a common entrance exam held by it. The candidates should download their admit cards online usually released about a week before the date of test at the website. The selection of the applicants is done strictly on the basis of performances of applicants in the entrance exam and merits in the qualifying exam. The applicants in order to appear in the entrance exam is 40% (for SC/STs) and 45% (for general candidates) respectively.

The dates for downloading admit cards online are over for this academic  session and the applicants have been invited for attending counseling from 25^th August 2014 at the specified venues of university main campus.
