 The Savitribai Phule Pune University was established as one of the premiere universities in North-Western Pune on 10^th February 1949. Brought into existence, by the passing of Poona University Act, the university is often regarded as “Oxford of the East” with 46 academic departments and 612 affiliated colleges coming under its jurisdiction. The applicants wishing to enroll in the university should participate and qualify the entrance exam conducted for this purpose. The main disciplines under which university courses are available include: Fine Arts, Science, Technology, Physical Education, Education & Extension and Mental, Moral and Social Sciences respectively.

The university examinations are conducted through semester for all the university programmes in the months of June and December only. The entrance exams for the university admissions are announced annually in the July/ August months. Recently, the university has invited applications for admissions to the following courses: B.Voc (Bachelor of Vocation) in Renewable Energy and Jewellery Design and Gemology, MA/ M.Sc in Mathematics and M.Tech in Industrial Mathematics and Computer Applications and Diploma in Advance Network Security (Full Time & Part Time) respectively.

University of Pune Admit Cards 2014 for different entrance examinations-

1) The University of Pune Admit Cards can be downloaded online directly from the university website at unipune.ac.in.

2) Go to the “Online Admissions” section of website where all the links related to latest university admissions are present.

3) Choose the course for which you have to apply by clicking on “Apply Online” tab.

4) The tab shall open a login page where you can register with the Username, Password and Email to create your account.

5) The same account can be opened by the applicants to receive any new information related to exam including admit cards.

6) Download and print the admit cards in order to carry the same at the time of examination.
