UGC NET Exam Pattern 2016
CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) is going to conduct UGC NET (National Eligibility Test) 2016 on 10th of July, 2016. It is essential for job hunters to pass this eligibility test for becoming Junior Research Fellows and Assistant Professors. Particulars of UGC NET Exam Pattern 2016 :
Name of the Examination- UGC NET July 2016
Post Offered-
1). Junior Research Fellow
2). Assistant Professor
Academic Eligibility- Contenders must possess Post Graduation degree in the concerned stream with 50 per cent marks or must be appearing in the final year of Post Graduation degree level from a known University / Institution.
Age Group- There is no limit to be followed by the aspirants applying for the post of Assistant Professor whereas 28 years (as on 1st of July, 2016) is the age limit for Junior Research Fellow.
Examination Pattern– There will be total three papers in the UGC NET July 2016. The details are as follows :
Paper-I : Paper-I will be of 100 marks in which contenders will be required to attempt 50 questions out of 60 multiple choice questions. The duration of examination will be 1 ¼ hours. This paper focuses on testing the teaching / research aptitude of the candidate.
Paper-II : Paper-II will be of 100 marks in which contenders will be required to attempt all the 50 objective type questions. Each question is of 2 marks. The duration of examination will be 1 ¼ hours.
Paper-III : Paper-III will be of 150 marks in which contenders will be required to attempt all the 75 objective type questions. The duration of examination will be 2 ½ hours.
Paper-II & III will be compulsory, covering entire syllabus (including all electives, without options).
Syllabus of Examination-
Paper-I : Questions asked in Paper-I will be from reasoning ability, comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness.
Paper-II & III : Questions asked in Paper-II will be from subject selected by the contenders including the elective subjects.
Registration Charges- Application cost is Rs.300/- for OBC category aspirants, Rs.600/- for General category contenders and Rs.150/- for SC / ST category contenders. System Generated Challan / Credit Card / Debit Card must be used for making payment of the application fee.
Application Process :
Interested and aspiring contenders can apply online for the specified eligibility test through the official web portal : cbsenet.nic.in . Aspirants must fill all the required details and upload scanned copy of necessary documents. After making payment of the application fee aspirants must submit the online application form accordingly.
