SSC Data Entry Operator Exam 2014 Declared through Online Applications
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) announces the recruitment of all the eligible candidates in the post of DEO (Data Entry Operator) through the Combined Higher Secondary Examinations 2014. The candidates who apply in the concerned post should be at least Higher Secondary/ Class 12th passed in order to appear in the concerned exam.
The Staff Selection Commission conducts the recruitment exam for the Data Entry Operator posts through the Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam every year in the months of October/ November months. The recruitment is conducted for all the nine regional Staff Selection Commissions namely: SSC (NR), SSC (CR), SSC (SR), SSC (WR), SSC (ER), SSC (MPR), SSC (KKR), SSC (NWR) and SSC (NER) respectively.

Other Academic Requirements:
The candidates who wish to appear in the Data Entry Operator Recruitment Exam must be Intermediate/ SSLC/ Class 12th passed as a mandatory qualification for the concerned post.
Age Eligibility: The candidates applying to the post of Data Entry Operators should have their maximum and minimum ages as 18 and 27 years respectively with effect from the date of application. Candidates seeking relaxation in ages will be granted as per the rules provided by the government for this purpose.
Manner of Selection:
The candidates applying for the post of Data Entry Operator will be selected on the basis of the Combined Higher Secondary Exam 2014 conducted at the dates specified by the SSC. This will be followed by the Data Entry Skill Test/ Typing Tests held for all the qualified candidates in the concerned exam.
Pattern of Exam:
The written exam of the Data Entry Post through Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam consists of an objective type paper containing questions on the following main sections:
Part I: General Intelligence – 50 questions (50 marks)
Part II: English Language- 50 questions (50 marks)
Part III: Quantitative Aptitude- 50 questions (50 marks)
Part IV: General Awareness- 50 questions (50 marks)
Duration of the Exam: 2 Hours (2 Hours 40 Minutes for the Visually Handicapped)
The candidates will be penalized with a deduction of 0.25 marks for all the wrong answers marked in the exam.

Application Method:
The candidates can apply either online or offline in the manner prescribed in the official notification for this purpose. The offline application form requires the payment of Rs. 100 in the form of CRFS (Central Recruitment Fee Stamp) of any regional Post Office. The online application form can be filled through a Bank Challan payable at any State Bank of India Branches or through Internet Banking as applicable.
