Name of the University

Sikkim Manipal University was established in year 1995. Sikkim Manipal University has been ordered by The UGC to shut down all study centers outside Sikkim in 2012. In its judgment on a Petition filed by SMU against the UGC order, the Sikkim high court held that SMU is bound by the order from the UGC. SMU is a co-educational public-private funded university located in Gangtok, Sikkim, India. SMU is affiliated to AIU, DEC, All India Council for Technical Education AICTE.

Name of the offered course

BA, B.Com, B.Tech, B.Sc, BBA, BMLT, MPT, MBBS, BDS, MBA, M.Tech, MA, M.Com, MS/MD, M.Sc, PG Diploma and Ph.D courses.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants those who wanted to take admission in Under Graduate courses must have passed 12^th standard with 50% marks from a reputed Board or Institution and Applicants those who wanted to take admission in Post Graduate courses must have passed Bachelor degree in relevant stream with 50% to 55% marks obtained from a reputed Board or Institution.

Age Bracket

Applicants those who wanted to get admission in their desirable course their age limit must be 17 years minimum as on 31^st Dec, 2016.

Aspirants those who are not fulfilling the age limit as per required by SMU are not allowed for applying for admission process.

Entrance Examination Fee

For B.Tech/M.Tech: Rs.1000/-

For BCA/MCA/MBA: Rs.750/-

For MBA: Rs.2000/-

For rest courses: No application fee

Payment will be done via demand draft drawn in favour of “Sikkim Manipal University” payable at Gangtok.

Candidates those who are interested to apply are asked to visit the official website of Sikkim Manipal University: manipal.edu for applying via online mode. Read the instructions carefully. All the details must be filled in correct manner. Upload scan images of signature and passport size photograph. Press the submit button for completing the process of filling application form. Lastly take a print out of online generated application form for further correspondence
