SCRA Exam Pattern 2014 Details of Eligibility & Qualifying Criteria
The Special Class Railway Apprentice (SCRA) is the joint entrance exam conducted for the qualification of eligible candidates in the special post of SCRAs. The entrance exam is organized every year by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) in the months of January /February for all the applicants. Exam Pattern:
There are two papers in the recruitment exam having objective type and multiple choice questions on the following main topics:
Part I: This paper will have questions on the following main topics:
Paper I: General Ability Test (English, General Knowledge and Psychological Test (200 Marks)
Paper II: Physical Sciences (Physics & Chemistry) 200 Marks
Paper III: Mathematics (200 Marks) and
Total Marks Allotted: 600 Marks
Part II:
Interview/ Personality Test:
The second part of the paper consists of Interview/ Personality Test of 200 marks. The candidates who qualify in the written exam shall be only called for the Interview round of examination.
Total Time Allotted: 6 Hours (2 Hours each for all the papers)

Modes of Examination:
The candidates will have to appear and qualify in the written exam conducted in the offline modes. The questions will be set in English language only.
The candidates will be allowed to use only Indian Numerals for the answering of questions. The candidates will be required to appear in the following tests that have passed the main written exam and interview. These include the following: Medical Exam, Physical Fitness Test and the descriptive test on the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English Language and General Knowledge respectively.
