SAT 2014 Exam Details and Subjects of Examination
The SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) is conducted for the admission of students in different under graduate level courses in the United States of America. The exam is usually held in the months of January. The exam is the eligibility to select candidates of merit in the courses as made available in different colleges of USA. SAT 2014 Exam Details:
The Scholastic Aptitude Test is conducted by the College Board Professionals to admit students in different under graduate courses as available in the colleges of USA. The exam was started in the year 1926 to help the colleges in selecting meritorious students in the colleges. The exam is the basis of deciding the critical thinking skills of the candidates that have applied for the concerned exam. The exam is held seven times in United States of America and six times at other places outside USA.
Pattern of Exam:
There will be three main sections in the SAT Exam in three parts on the following topics:
1st Section: Critical Thinking (70 minutes)
2nd Section: Mathematics (70 minutes)
3rd Section: Writing (60 minutes)
The first two sections are basically aimed at testing the problem-solving skills of the candidates whereas, the third section of the paper contains questions of the following patterns- MCQs, Essay Questions to test the writing skills of the candidates and students analysis based questions respectively.
Eligibility for SAT:
The candidates participating in the SAT Exam should have passed the Intermediate/ Class 12th / Class 11th from any Boards recognized for this purpose.
Subjects for SAT:
Under Graduate Programmes in the following subjects- History, Literature, Chemistry, Physics, French, Spanish, Mathematics and Biology respectively

Application Rules:
The candidates who want to register for SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test) can do so through online modes at the website professionals.collegeboard.com. The candidates should attach a recent photo at the registration form since the same photo will become a part of their Admission Tickets. The candidates applying in this manner will receive the following after registration: Test Center Seat, Admission Ticket and score reports sent to the colleges and scholarship services for this purpose.
The candidates also have the facility of mail and phone registration for applying to the Scholastic Aptitude Test. The candidates should try to register within the dates as specified for this purpose.
The candidates can download their score cards for the SAT Exam as and when the results are made available online at the website for this purpose.
