The Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology has been established as the first agriculture university in Uttar Pradesh. The university was officially brought into existence under the UP Agriculture University Act 1958 on 2^nd October 2000 and inaugurated on 28^th March 2002 by Government of UP. The university is responsible for agricultural development of four divisions of state namely: Saharanpur, Meerut, Moradabad and Bareilly respectively. The university invites admission under different courses in the following disciplines: Agriculture, Biotechnology and Veterinary Sciences.

The candidates are admitted on the basis of their performances in Uttar Pradesh Agriculture and Technology Entrance Exam 2014 in different courses. The exam for the current academic year has been already conducted by university. The university recently organized and conducted the counseling for admissions to it’s under graduate, post graduate and doctoral courses held on 6^th September 2014. The applicants’ were required to go through the seat availability and their merits and accordingly participate in the counseling and document verification process. The finally selected candidates have to submit the counseling fee of Rs 500 towards this through bank drafts drawn in favor of “Registrar, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Agricultural and Technology University Meerut”.
