RPMT Exam Cut Off Marks 2014 Details of Short Listing in Medical Courses

The Rajasthan Pre Medical Test (RPMT) is the state level entrance exam conducted by the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences for admitting students in the different medical and dental courses available under the concerned university and other attached colleges. The applicants who have participated in the Rajasthan Pre Medical Test can view the cut off marks in the concerned exam for the previous years and anticipate their qualifying criteria for this years examination.

Procedure for determining the Cut off Marks of RPMT 2014:

The applicants should at least score 50% marks in all the sections of exam taken together. This includes –Physics, Biology and Chemistry respectively. The applicants belonging to the reserved category i.e. Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/ Other backward Classes/ Special Backward Classes will be given a relaxation of 10% in the qualifying marks. The applicants belonging to the Physically Challenged Communities shall be given a relaxation of 5% marks for this purpose.

Criteria for deciding cut off marks:

The cut off marks for the RPMT 2014 shall depend on many contributing factors like the merit in the exam which in turn depends on the level of questions asked in the exam. In addition to this, the cut off marks shall also depend on the cut off mark standard as framed by the college concerned depending on the standard of education.

The candidates can anticipate their chances of getting admissions on the basis of the cut off marks in the previous year admission process of some of the colleges admitting through the concerned entrance exam.

The candidates in case of getting same ranks in the entrance exam shall be given admissions on the basis of their marks obtained in the qualifying exam, number of wrong attempts, marks obtained in Intermediate Science and ages (older candidates shall be given preference) respectively.
