RPET Exam Pattern 2014 Details of Paper Pattern and Questions Asked

The RPET (Rajasthan Technical Pre Entrance Test) is conducted for inviting admissions in different technical courses including: BE, B.Tech and B.Arch courses respectively. The exam is organized every year in the months of May/ June by the Board of Technical Education of Rajasthan. The exam provides admission to the applicants who successfully qualify in the exam in different private and government colleges of Rajasthan State. Given below are the details of exam and paper pattern for all the candidates appearing in the exam to go through.

Paper Pattern for RPET 2014:

There will be a three hours paper conducted in objective modes for candidates to answer on the following main sections:

Chemistry- 40 Questions

Physics- 40 Questions and

Mathematics- 40 Questions

Total Number of Questions: 120

Total Marks Allotted: 120

Marking Criteria:

The candidates will be given one mark for each correct answer marked by them whereas there will be no deduction of marks in case of wrong answers attempted by the candidates.

Modes of RPET:

It will be held in offline modes on the exam centres as specified for this purpose. The question paper will consist of questions in both the languages- English and Hindi.

Syllabus for RPET:

Mathematics: Trigonometry, Algebra, Arithmetic, Geometry, Calculus, Probability and Matrices

Chemistry: Theory of Chemical Bonding, Chemical Bonding, S-Block Elements, Development of Classical Model of an Atom, D-Block Elements, Chemical Equilibrium and Ionic Equilibrium and Metals.

Physics: Simple Harmonic Motion, Wave Motion, Measurement and Units, Nature of Lights, Intermolecular Forces, Dynamics of a System of Particles respectively.

Eligibility for RPET 2014:

The candidates in order to avail admissions in the engineering courses including –Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology should be having their Intermediate i.e. qualifying exam  with the following subjects in 45% marks (40% marks for OBC/ ST/SC candidates):

Compulsory Subjects: Physics and Mathematics

Optional Subjects: Chemistry, Bio Technology, Computer Science and Biology respectively.
