Enthusiastic and eligible candidates, who accomplish the prescribed academic pre-requisites of their preferred courses, are supposed to download the respective Admission forms from its official web site- ptu.ac.in . Candidates need to take a print out of this application format and fill it accordingly without making any mistakes. Make sure that all the details provided on this form are authentic as it will be verified later on. Now affix your latest passport size color photograph on the space provided on the upper right corner of the form. Finally, forward it to the below mentioned address via speed or registered post along with all necessary enclosures:-

 Academic Pre-requisites:

Keen and interested aspirants who are looking forward to apply for any of the aforesaid Bachelor’s programmes should have cleared their HSC (Higher Secondary Examination) under 10+2 system with satisfactory marks from a government recognized education board whereas, those applying for Masters’ Programmes must be a Graduate from their relevant disciplines under a recognized University or college. If seeking admissions in any doctoral courses, candidates must possess a Post Graduation Degree in the related discipline or field under any recognized  University.

Base of Selection:

Applicants will be selected for the B.Tech Programmes on the grounds of JEE-2014 merit, whereas in case of B.Arch programmes candidates will be admitted on the base of their attainment in the Aptitude test Conducted by CBSE. For M.Tech and M.Pharm Programmes, admissions will be made through valid GATE and GPAT scores, respectively. While for all other courses, admissions will be made through performance in their qualifying examinations.

Punjab Technical University (PTU) was entrenched in the year 1997 under the Punjab Technical University Act, 1996 (Punjab Act No. 1 of 1997) to provide for the establishment and amalgamation of a University for the advancement of technical education and development thereof in the State of Punjab and for matters connected therewith. Presently, the University has 494 affiliated colleges out of which, 105 are Engineering Colleges, 140 Management Colleges, 8 Architecture Colleges, 34 Pharmacy Colleges and Others colleges.
