PMET MBA Exam Pattern 2014 Details of Qualifying and Preparation Criteria
The Punjab Management Entrance Test (PMET) is the qualifying exam for admission of eligible applicants in the two year full time regular course in Management. The Punjab Management Entrance Test is conducted by the Government of Punjab and organized by the Punjabi University for providing admissions to the candidates in different colleges affiliated to the Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar, Punjabi University, Patiala and Punjab Technical University Jalandhar respectively.

Name of Exam: Punjab Management Entrance Test

Courses of Admission: MBA (Masters of Business Administration)
Paper Pattern:
The Punjab Management Entrance Test shall consist of two main parts in the exam having objective type questions having multiple answers on the following main sections:
Mental and Numerical Ability: 50 Questions
General Knowledge: 50 Questions
General English: 50 Questions
Business Aptitude: 50 Questions
Total Number of Questions: 200
Total Allotted Marks: 200 (50 Marks per Section)
Duration of Exam: 180 Minutes (45 Minutes per paper)

Scheme of Marking:
The candidates shall be given 1 mark for every right answer given by them while there will be a deduction of 0 mark for every wrong answers attempted by them respectively from the total marks gained in the concerned exam.
The Exam will be conducted in two sessions as given below-
Paper I- Mental and Numerical Ability (50 Marks)
Paper II- General Knowledge (50 Marks)
Paper III- General English (50 Marks)
General Knowledge (30 Marks)
Time of Exam: 09:00 am to 11:15 am
Paper IV- Business Aptitude (50 Marks)
Time of Exam: 11:15 am to 12:00 pm
Mode of Answering:
The candidates are required to answer questions using Blue/ Black Gel Pens only in the concerned exam. The Management Entrance Test is held in offline modes only and there is no negative marking in the exam.
