PGCET Exam Pattern 2014 Pattern of Questions & Marking Scheme

The Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) is conducted by the Karnataka state. The entrance exam provides admission to different courses in the following disciplines- Civil Engineering/ Chemical Engineering/ Computer Science Engineering/ Environmental Engineering/ Textile Engineering, Polymer Science and Architecture respectively. Paper Pattern for Karnataka PGCET 2014:

The Post Graduate Common Entrance Test will consist of objective type questions on the concerned subjects.

For Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Textile Engineering, Polymer Science and Architecture –

Total Marks: 100

Total Questions: 75 (50 questions of 1 mark each, 25 questions of 2 marks each)

The candidates will not be penalized for their wrong attempts.

Duration of Exam: two and a half hours.

For Electrical Science and Mechanical Science-

There will be two parts – the first part is the common paper compulsorily attempted for all the candidates and the second part is based on the questions from the specialization paper as opted by the candidates.

Total Questions: 45 (In Part I)

Total Marks: 60 Marks (30 questions of 1 mark each and 15 questions of 2 marks each)

Total Questions: 30 (In Part II)

Total Marks: 40 (20 questions of 1 mark each and 10 questions of 2 marks each)
