PET Exam Pattern 2014 Details for Syllabus, Subjects and Marking Criteria

The Pre Engineering Test (PET) is conducted at the state level for all the eligible applicants to get admissions in the Under Graduate courses available in the field of Engineering & Technology respectively. The applicants who are preparing for the concerned entrance exam should go through the complete details of the examination including the syllabus and marking scheme respectively.

Name of Exam: Pre Engineering Test

Conducting Authority: Directorate of Technical Education, Madhya Pradesh

Courses of Admission: B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology)/ B.Pharma (Bachelor of Pharmacy)/ Dairy/ Agriculture / Forestry

Eligibility for Exam:

The applicants should be Intermediate passed from the PCM Group with the minimum percentage of marks as specified for this purpose for taking admissions in the Engineering courses.

Exam Pattern:

The Madhya Pradesh Pre Engineering Test shall consist of two parts having objective type multiple choice questions on the following:

Part I: Mathematics/ Biology/ Biotechnology (100 Questions)

Part II: Either of the following combination of subjects:

Physics & Chemistry/ Physics & Biology/ Physics & Biotechnology (100 Questions)

Duration of Exam: 3 Hours

Total Number of Questions: 200

Total Marks Allotted: 200

Strategy of Marking:

The candidates shall be evaluated for the concerned exam in the following way- 1 mark for every right questions attempted and no marks given for the incorrect answers attempted by them respectively. The candidates will be required to answer the questions on an OMR Sheet as provided for this purpose. There will be four options per question; the candidates will have to choose the most correct option for answer.

The paper having wrong questions/ incomplete questions will be adjusted in the total marks for evaluation purposes. The candidates should use only Blue/ Black Ball Point Pens for marking answers in the OMR.
