Northern Railway Exam Pattern 2014
Northern Railway will be holding Common Entrance Examination on 15/06/2014 for the positions of Assistant Loco Pilot and Technicians. The recruitment process has already been over and the Railway Recruitment Cell is in the preparation of releasing Admit Card for the exam. The exam will be Objective Multiple Choice in which four options will be provided for each question. The selection of the candidates will be done through assessing their performance in Written Exam.

The Examination will have Objective MCQs in which questions will be from following areas:
1. General Intelligence & Reasoning 2. Arithmetic Ability 3. General Awareness 4. General Science & Technical Ability
Total Count of Questions: 100 to 120
Exam Duration: 1½ hour
Language Mode of Paper: English, Hindi, Urdu and Local Languages
Negative Marking: 0.33 mark
Exam Syllabus:
1. General Intelligence & Reasoning: Making series, syllogism, judgment, analogy, coding-decoding statement etc
2. Arithmetic Ability: Plus-minus of numbers, number system, profit and loss, chain rule, area of figures, problem on age, distance-time –speed, average, roots, ratio and proportion, mixture and alligation, time and money Etc.
3. General Awareness: Questions based on current issues, events and happenings.
