Process for Admission:

Admission in “B.A. LL.B.(Hons.)” and “LLM – Master of Laws” will based on the CLAT score card (Common Law Admission Test). Admission in “Research Programmes” will be made via con ducting a test which will contain 02 papers, namely –

Paper I – Research Methodology

Paper II – Research Proposal specific paper

Thus, to be précised, candidates have to go through the written examination to be eligible for applying in any of the programmes offered by NLSIU followed by evaluation of application received and afterwards, personal Interview.

Eligibility Standards:

The students who are willing to have their further studies in Law from NLSIU need to full fill the following norms –

For Under Graduate Course – Candidates should have been passed in the Higher Secondary School Exam or equivalent examination there on having secured aggregate 50% of the marks (40% for SC / ST / PWD).

For Post Graduate Course – The applicant for admittance in this programme, should have been qualified the LL.B. Degree or an examination equivalent from a familiar University securing at least 55% marks in the aggregate of the prescribed utmost marks (50% for of SC/ST & PWD) in agreement with the criterion set for the CLAT.

Way to Register:

The keen students are required to apply from CLAT website i.e. clat.ac.in for Post Graduate Course. All the other aspirants seeking admission at NLSIU must apply from its official website i.e. nls.ac.in . Only candidates who are best fitted as per the criteria set by the University are eligible to register, aspirants failing to be eligible as said in the programmes details, application forms send by them will tend to get rejected.
