The NIT Tiruchirapalli invites admission under different under graduate and post graduate courses through the entrance exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education for all the NITs and state funded technical institutions of India. NIT Tiruchirapalli is one of the National Institute of Technology’s established in the year 1964, providing higher education through post graduate courses available in 21 disciplines and under graduate courses in ten branches of engineering namely: Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Production Engineering and Chemical Engineering respectively.

The admissions to all the specified courses of NIT Tiruchirapalli are done on the basis of the scores obtained in the JEE Main /AIEEE conducted every year in the months of April/ May by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The applicants can appear in both online and offline (paper-pencil) based tests conducted for this purpose. The admit card are released online at the website of JEE Main for all the appearing candidates.

a) Log on to the website of NIT Tiruchirapalli or CBSE JEE Main at jeemain.nic.in.

b) Click on the active links for downloading admit card available at the home page itself.

c) Enter the Application Number and Password in the downloading windows for admit card online download.

d) Login and take print outs for the NIT Tiruchirapalli Entrance Exam in the manner as specified.

The final selections of the applicants shall be done on the basis of the scores obtained in the JEE Main and the cut off as decided by institute for different disciplines.
