The National Institute of Technology Srinagar is one of the leading institutions for technical education in India. Established in the year 1960, it is one of the 18 regional engineering colleges set by Government of India. The college was granted the status of a deemed to be university during August 2003 and renamed as National Institute of Technology Srinagar. The applicants can avail admissions in different courses available under following main disciplines: Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics respectively.

The National Institute of Technology Srinagar invites admissions to its different courses through the common entrance exam as conducted for this purpose. The admission like other National Institute of Technology’s are held through the JEE Main Exam. The entrance exam shall decide the merit of the exam. The final selections shall be based on the cut off as decided by the institute concerned admitting and seats availability for different disciplines of engineering under Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) course of institute.

NIT Srinagar Admit Cards 2014 –Criteria for Accessing Online Admit Card:

1) The applicants may access their online hall tickets for NIT Srinagar Entrance Exam from the website of JEE Main at jeemain.nic.in.

2) Find the active hall ticket download links available on the home page of concerned website.

3) Download the admit cards by entering your application numbers and password inside the downloading window.

4) Login and use the print option available at the same page for taking hard copies.

The applicants must retain their admit cards even after the JEE main as it is required at the time of counseling as a proof of your appearance in the concerned entrance exam. NIT Srinagar conducted the last counseling for admissions from 23^rd July 2014 to 26^th July 2014 respectively.
