About:
National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur was entrenched on 15th August 1960. The Institute was formerly identified as Regional Institute of Technology as a joint venture of Government of India and the Government of Bihar in the chain of RECs (Regional Engineering College) in India with the goals of generating technical graduates of highest standards who could provide technological leadership to the region.

Selection Process:
The NIT Jamshedpur selects eligible candidates for the above mentioned courses through common entrance exams like NIMCET, DASA, CCMT and JEE mains. Shortlisted applicants on the grounds of their merit are subsequently invited for Group Discussions and viva voce to be held at its campus. Therefore, it’s a must for all aspirants to appear as well as crack any of these entrance examinations.

How to Apply:
Individuals who accomplish the above mentioned academic pre requisites of admission may obtain the prescribed application form in-person from the NIT Jamshedpur on payment of the announced application fee in cash. However, the same may also be downloaded through its authorized gateway- nitjsr.ac.in . Once applicants are in possession of their application forms, they are supposed to remit the announced intimation fee through any of the options available on the portal. The details of the payment process are also specified in the official prospectus. After successful payment of this application fee, applicants are supposed to submit duly filled application form along with the Challan Slip/ DD and transcripts of other vital credentials required supporting your application form to the prescribed address before the announced last date.
