NIMCET Exam Pattern 2014 Paper Pattern and Marking Scheme
NIMCET stands for NIT MCA Common Entrance Test, a national level test conducted basically for inviting admissions in the Master of Computer Applications programme of the NITs (National Institute of Technology) at the following places: Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Calicut, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Raipur, Surathkal, Tiruchirapalli and Warangal respectively. The candidates who have applied for the exam scheduled to be held on 25th May 2014 at different examination centres can go through the paper pattern and other details of the exam from here below to step up their preparation in the concerned exam.

NIMCET Exam Pattern 2014:
The NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) is held in objective modes with multiple choice based questions on the following main topics:
Mathematics: 50 Questions (200 Marks)
Analytical Abilities and LR (Logical Reasoning): 40 Questions (160 Marks)
Computer Awareness: 20 Questions (80 Marks) and
General English: 10 Questions (40 Marks)
Total Number of Questions: 120
Total Marks Allotted: 480
Duration of Exam: two hours /120 minutes
Marking Scheme:
The candidates will be given four marks for each right answer marked by the candidates whereas a deduction of -1 will be done in case of wrong answers committed by the candidates. Thus, the candidates are advised to choose the most correct option out of the four available options for the answers.
The candidates will be required to mark the answers in the OMR Sheets as provided for this purpose. Only Blue/ Black Ball Point Pens will be used for the NIMCET 2014 Exam. The candidates can do all the rough work related to the questions in the Test Booklet only and the OMR Sheets should be kept clean and neat for evaluation purposes.

Mathematics: Questions could be raised on the following main topics: Set Theory; Probability and Statistics; Coordinate Geometry and Vectors respectively
Analytical and LR: Logical Analogies and Problem Solving Questions
Computer Awareness: Basic Fundamentals of Computers; Data Representation
General English: Grammar; Comprehension; Words and Phrases; Synonyms and Antonyms and Vocabulary based questions
