Paper Pattern:-

The NIMCET question paper is divided among the 04 subjects and that are;

 NIMCET Syllabus:

Mathematics –

Algebra: Expansions, Fundamental operations in algebra, factorization, indices, simultaneous linear / quadraticequations, logarithms, geometric and harmonic progressions

Probability and Statistics: Basic concepts of probability theory, Averages, Dependent and independent events, frequency distributions, measures of central tendencies and dispersions.

Trigonometry: Simple identities, trigonometric equations properties of triangles, solution of triangles, heights and distances, general solutions of trigonometric equations.

Coordinate Geometry: Distance formulae, Rectangular Cartesian coordinates, equation of a line, pair of straight lines, intersection of lines, equations of a circle, ellipse, parabola.

Vectors: Position vector, addition and subtraction of vectors, scalar and vector products and their applications to simple geometrical problems and mechanics.

Calculus: Continuous function, Limit of functions, differentiation of function, simple examples of maxima and minima.

Set Theory: Concept of sets –Intersection, Union, Cardinality, permutations and combinations; Elementary counting.

Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning –

This section will consist of logical reasoning & quantitative aptitude questions and etc.

Computer Awareness –

Data Representation: Integers and fractions, Representation of characters, binary and hexadecimal representations, binary arithmetic: division, subtraction, addition, multiplication, Computer Basics: Central Processing Unit (CPU), Organization of a computer, structure of instructions in CPU, computer memory, input/ output devices, and back-up devices.

General English –

Comprehension, Basic English Grammar (such as usage of correct forms of verbs, articles and prepositions), Vocabulary, Word power, Antonyms and Synonyms, Technical writing, Meanings of words and phrases,
