Important Information – COA has released the NATA 2022 application form at nata.in. National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is a national level entrance exam conducted by the Council of Architecture (CoA) for candidates seeking admission to undergraduate programmes in Architecture (5-year BArch). Candidates have an option to attempt any one or all three sessions of the NATA. The online NATA registration 2022 process will consist of registration, filling of NATA 2022 registration form, uploading images, and fee payment.. Educational Qualification (Eligibility) for NATA Admission Online Form 2022 – Candidates who have completed their 10 + 2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or 10+ 3 Diploma with Mathematics as subject of study can appear for NATA 2022. Candidates appearing for 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects of study or 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics in the current year may also provisionally appear for NATA-2022..

Validity of NATA- 2022 Score –

NATA- 2022 score shall be valid only for admission in the academic session 2022- 2023.

Exam Pattern for NATA 2022 –

The exam pattern for NATA 2022 are as follows :

Exam mode : Online (CBT based)

Medium : English only

Duration : 180 minutes

Type of questions: Multiple-Choice type (MCQ), Multiple Select type (MSQ), Preferential Choice type (PCQ) and Numerical Answer type (NAQ) and Match the following type (MFQ)

Marking scheme : either 1 mark,2 marks or 3 marks

Negative marking : No marks will be deducted for marking incorrect answer.

Syllabus for NATA 2022 –

The syllabus prescribed by the authority is given below. Candidates should strictly prepare for the exam according to the syllabus given as below :

Drawing Test: geometric composition, shape, Understanding scale and proportion of objects, building forms and, color texture, harmony, elements, aesthetics, and contrast. Conceptualization and visualization through structuring objects in memory. Drawing of patterns – both geometrical and abstract. Form transformations in 2D and 3D like union, subtraction, rotation, surfaces, and volumes. Creation of 2D and 3D compositions using given shapes and forms. Generating plan, and 3D views, the elevation of objects. Sketching of urbanscape and landscape,  Perspective drawing. Common day-to-day life objects such as equipment, furniture, etc., from memory.

Mathematics: Permutation and combination, Trigonometry, Logarithms, Matrices, Coordinate Geometry, 3-Dimensional Co-ordinate geometry, Theory of Calculus, Algebra, Application of Calculus, Statistics and Probability.

General Aptitude: visualizing three-dimensional objects from two-dimensional drawing. Objects, Interpretation of pictorial compositions, textures related to architecture & built environment. Mental ability (visual, numerical, and verbal), Analytical reasoning, general awareness of national/international architects and famous architectural creations. Visualizing different sides of 3D objects. Mathematical reasoning and sets as well as relations.
