MSBTE Exam Pattern 2014 Details of Paper Pattern and Examination
The Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) provides admission to all the eligible applicants in the three year Diploma Courses available in different technical and engineering courses. The students enrolled in the programmes are required to appear and qualify in the semester exams held twice a year for the summer and winter sessions respectively. The candidates enrolled in the semester correspondence course will also be required to appear in the concerned exam twice as and when organized by the Board for this purpose.

Examination Criteria:
The Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) conducts its term end examinations in either of the patterns:
1) Yearly Examination
2) Semester Wise Examinations
The applicants will be judged on the basis of the following examinations: First Term Exam; First Class Test; Second Class Test; Second Term Exam respectively. The candidates enrolled in the semester wise conduct of examination will be having two semesters – Odd Semesters and Even Semesters respectively. Where, the odd semester examinations are organized in the following months- June- October, the even semester exams are organized in December- March months respectively. The theory examinations shall be held after the practical examinations. The practical examinations shall commence in the months of March/ April respectively for the odd semester examination.
MSBTE Qualifying Criteria:
The candidates enrolled in the four year diploma course will be required to qualify in all the eight semester exams whereas those enrolled in the three year diploma courses should qualify in all the six semesters of the concerned course exam respectively.
