The Maharishi Markandeshwar University Mullana Ambala has been founded by the Maharishi Markandeshwar Education Trust in the year 1993. The university was granted the status of a deemed university u/s 3 of University Grants Commission in the year 2007. The applicants can avail admission under different courses offered by university in the following major disciplines: Engineering, Law, Nursing, Education, Management, Pharmacy, Hotel Management, Computer Technology, and Business Management respectively.

The university conducts the annual semester exams for all the enrolled applicants every year in the June/ July and November/ December months. The candidates are sent their admit cards and exam schedules by the university at least 10-15 days before the commencement of examinations. In case, the applicants don’t receive their admit cards by post for distance course examinations in time, then they must immediately contact the concerned authority issuing admit cards along with their three passport size photographs.
