The MH SSET stands for Maharashtra Super Speciality Entrance Test. This test is the qualifying criteria prescribed by the Government of Maharashtra for admitting students under the following super speciality courses: DM & M.Ch courses respectively. The applicants in order to participate in the MH SSET must be an Indian Citizen having a post graduate degree –MD/ MS /anything equivalent from any medical college or university fully recognized by the Medical Council of India. The minimum percentage of marks required for admissions to the specified courses is 50% for all the candidates applying in the concerned exam. In addition to this, the applicants must be having a permanent registration with the MCI (Medical Council of India)/ MMC (Maharashtra Medical Council) respectively.

The MH SSET is a two and a half hour test having 150 objective- type multiple choice based questions carrying one mark each. Wherein, 100 Marks shall be devoted to the subjects from MBBS Course and the rest 50 Marks to the broad specialities i.e. MD/ MS respectively. The sale of applications for the concerned entrance exam usually begins at all the designated centres of exam from last week of May and continues till first week of June for all the candidates. The admit cards are issued offline from the DMER Offices during the same period and the examination organized in the second week of June.
