MAH MBA MMS CET Exam Pattern 2014 Details of Courses for Admission and Qualifying Criteria

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MAH CET) is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education in the months of February/ March respectively. The scores of the Common Entrance Test is accepted by all the top B-Schools and Management Institutes in Maharashtra including the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS). Name of Exam: Maharashtra Common Entrance Test

Conducting Authority: Directorate of Technical Education Maharashtra

Courses of Admission: MBA/ MMS

Eligibility for Exam:

The candidates should have completed their bachelors degree with a minimum of 45% marks (40% marks for Backward Class of Candidates) for a period of three years duration in any discipline from the Association of Indian Universities for this purpose. The applicants who are in the final year of their qualifying degree may also apply in the concerned exam provided they can complete the same by the time of their final selections.

Exam Pattern:

The paper for the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test shall consist of objective multiple choice questions on the following main sections:

Section I: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension

Section II: Quantitative Aptitude

Section III: Logical and Abstract Reasoning

Duration of Exam: 2 and ½ Hours/ 150 Minutes

Total Number of Questions: 200

Total Marks Allotted: 200

Marking Criteria:

For each correct attempts made by the applicants, there will be an addition of 1 mark. Since, there is no negative marking in the exam therefore, the candidates can attempt as number of questions as they like to score well in the concerned entrance exam.

The candidates short listed in the Common Entrance Exam shall be called for the GD (Group Discussion)/ PI (Personal Interview) /Academics /Work Experience as per the college admission process. The total marks allotted to the GD/ PI shall be 40 only.
