The Koneru Lakshmaiah University Vijayawada conducts the common entrance exam every year to short list candidates in the different courses available. The university conducts a separate entrance test for admissions to the engineering courses offered under various streams. The applicants can avail admissions in the following major streams through the concerned entrance exam, popularly called as the KLUEEE (KL University Engineering Entrance Exam)- Aerospace Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering respectively.

The KLUEEE is generally conducted in the first week of May every year. The last KLUEEE was held on 3^rd May 2014. The KLUEE is a three hours examination having objective type multiple choice based questions from the core subjects studied at the Intermediate level.
