KIIT Exam Pattern 2014 Details of Paper Pattern and Qualifying Criteria

The Kalinga Institute of Technology conducts the Engineering Entrance Exam every year to select candidates in different engineering courses of the university. The candidates qualifying in the concerned entrance exam will get admissions in the Bachelor of Technology courses. The entrance exam is mostly conducted by the Institute in the month of May every year. Given below are the details of paper pattern and qualifying criteria for all the applicants:

Name of Exam: Kalinga Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam

Conducting Authority: Kalinga Institute of Technology

Exam Pattern:

There will be an online test conducted in objective modes having multiple choice based questions on the following main topics as given below. The exam will be conducted in two parts:

Part I:

Physics

Chemistry

Duration of Exam: 10:00 am to 12 noon

Part II:

Mathematics

Duration of Exam: 01:00 pm to 03:00 pm

Total Number of Questions: 120 (40 in each section)

Total Time Allotted: 180 Minutes

Marking Scheme:

The candidates will be given four marks for each correct question attempted by them while there will be a reduction of 1 mark in case of wrong attempts hence, the candidates should attempt only those questions for which they are sure and know the answers well.

Mode of Exam:

It will be an online test held through computer modes only and the candidates should have enough knowledge of the computers to appear in the concerned exam.

Eligibility for Exam:

The candidates should be 10+2/ Intermediate passed from any recognized boards of secondary education in India with at least 60% marks obtained in the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics /Biology taken together for this purpose.

Courses of Admission:

1. Bachelor of Technology: 4 years

2. Bachelor of Technology & Masters of Technology (Dual Degree): 5 Years

3. Bachelor of Technology & Masters of Business Administration (Dual Degree): 5 Years course
