Karnataka CET Admission 2014-15
The Karnataka Examinations Authority invites applicants for registration in its forthcoming Karnataka CET (Common Entrance Test) annually. This year the Karnataka CET will be taking place on 1st & 2nd May, 2014. The notification and Admit card links are also available on its authorized web portal- kea.kar.nic.in .However, the registration portal for Karnataka CET 2014 is now closed, interested candidates may go through these vital details of the examination and register themselves as soon as the next notification is made public. Minimum Pre-requisites:
All applicants need to be Intermediate or HSC pass under 10+2 system with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects scoring not less than 45% marks in aggregate. Also, they must have opted their relevant subjects like Chemistry, Bio-technology, Computer Science, Electronics or Biology as optional subject and English as compulsory subject. Apart from these, candidates must have fulfilled the Domicile Criteria as specified by the KEA authorities necessarily.

Examination Charges:
All candidates willing to appear in the Karnataka CET are supposed to remit an examination fee worth INR.650/- through a Bank Challan or Demand draft drawn in favor of “Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority”, to be paid at Bangalore. Nevertheless, applicants belonging to OBC, ST or SC categories will be charged with INR.500/- only.
Application Method:
Aspirants who satisfy the given academic pre requisites are suggested to first download the Bank Challan from its authorized web portal- kea.kar.nic.in and pay the prescribed examination fee at any one of these banks:-
-State Bank of Mysore
-Indian Bank
-Central Bank of India
However, this payment can also be made through a demand draft as recommended before. After successful remittance of this fee, applicants may obtain the application forms from any school or college situated in Karnataka by handing over the KEA challan copy to the concerned school or college. This application form must be filled properly after reading the information brochure carefully. Also, candidates need to affix their left hand thumb impression in the space provided on it. After completion of the form, submit it to the Principal of the concerned School or college within the announced last date of submission.
Selection Process:
Karnataka CET 2014 is the common entrance test which is organized by the Karnataka Examination Authority to select qualified students for admittance in various engineering and technology programmes at Bachelor’s level in the state of Karnataka. The Karnataka CET 2014 is scheduled on 1st & 2nd May, 2014. Applicants may collect their admit cards for sitting in the exam from their respective Principals of their school or college from 21st April, 2014 onwards.
Vital Dates:
4th April, 2014: Last date for submission of applications.
21st April, 2014: Availability of Admit Cards
1st & 2nd May, 2014: Dates scheduled for Karnataka CET.
27th May, 2014: Announcement of Results.
