Pattern of Examination: Preliminary Exam and Main Exam and Physical Efficiency Test

Main- MCQ (Contains 3 papers)

Total number of Question-

Preliminary- 120 questions

Main- 370 questions (P 1- 120 questions, P 2- 100 questions, P 3- 150 question)

Mode of Examination: Computer Based Examination

Duration of Examination: 2 hrs in each paper

Preliminary Examination

General Studies , General Mathematics, General Sciences and Mental Ability

General Studies include National & International Current Affairs, Knowledge of the Jharkhand State, Scientific Development, Sports, Prizes, Currency, Capitals and India’ Political Systems, History, Geography, Constitution etc.

Hindi and English Language Test

20 questions from Comprehension and 40 questions from Grammar

Main Exam Paper II

Hindi/ English/ Urdu/  Santhali/ Bengali/ Mundari/ Ho/ Kharia/ Orao/ Kurmali/ Nagpuri/ Panchparganiya/ Odia/ Sanskrit

100 MCQ question from the language chosen for the appearing in the Paper II

Main Exam Paper III

General Knowledge, Knowledge related to Jharkhand State, General Science, General Math, Mental Ability, Knowledge of Computer

Total 150 questions ( 40 from Jharkhand State Knowledge and 20 each from rest)

If a candidate fails to secure 30% marks then the paper 3 of the main exam shall not be assessed. 

Physical Efficiency Test

Male- 10 km run in 60 minute

Female- 05 Km run in 40 minutes

This is a qualifying exam. No marks shall be awarded.
