ISTQB Exam Dates 2014 Details for Foundation and Advance Level Examinations
The ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) is the national level board established for “ISTQB –Certified- Tester” Certification in India. The Board was established on November 2002 for all those candidates who wish t take this exam conducted basically at two levels- Foundation and Advance levels respectively. The ISTQB Foundation Exam basically evaluates the understanding of the appearing candidates on basics of software testing concepts, software projects, and other testing issues. The test is useful for the developers, testers, project leads and project managers respectively.

Given below are the complete details of the exam including the selection, application and paper pattern respectively for the applicants appearing in the concerned entrance exam to go through for preparation and selection purposes.

Conducting Authority: International Software Testing Qualifications Board
Exam Formats:
The paper of the ISTQB Foundation levels shall comprise of objective type multiple choice questions on the books as prescribed by the ISTQB for this purpose. The Distribution of the candidates will be done as:
K1 Level of questions- 50% (20 Questions)
K2 Level of questions- 30% (12 Questions)
K3 & K4 Level of questions- 20% (8 Questions) respectively
Total Number of Questions: 40
Number of Questions to be attempted: 26
Total Time Allotted: 75 Minutes (60 minutes for Native Candidates)
Marking Scheme:
There will be no negative marking in the exam. The candidates can attempt as many questions as they like to score more in the exam.

Qualifying Criteria:
The candidates should score at least 65% marks in order to qualify in the concerned exam.
Examination Applying Procedure:
The candidates should apply online from the official website of ISTQB. The candidates should select the exam dates and centre of examinations from the website in order to appear in the concerned exam.
Application Fee: Rs.2500
Results for ITQB Foundation Exam:
The results of the ISTQB Foundation Exam are announced usually within two weeks of the conduct of examination. The candidates will receive their certificates within eight weeks of the exam.
