ISRO Exam Pattern 2014 for Scientist/Engineer Posts 

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is the central organization in the country for the development of the Space Science and Space Technology. The organization announces every year the vacancies for the recruitment of eligible applicants in the post of Scientist/ Engineers respectively. The applicants are invited for the written exam to be held in the last week of May respectively all over India at different examination centres.

Name of Exam: ISRO Recruitment Exam

Conducting Authority: Indian Space Research Organization

Recruitment for: Scientist/ Engineer

Available Fields:

1. Electrical

2. Civil

3. Refrigeration and Air Conditioning

Eligibility for Exam:

The candidates should be an engineering graduate having passed degrees in either of the following: BE (Bachelor of Engineering)/ B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology) with a minimum of 65% marks in the concerned qualifying degree exam.

The qualifying ages of all the applicants should be not exceeding 35 years brought into effect from the date of closing applications. There will be a relaxation of 5 years granted to the deserving candidates including the SC/ST /EXS/ OBC /PWD candidates respectively.

Pattern of Examination:

The candidates will be required to appear and qualify in the written exam which will be scheduled to be held in the last week of April/ May months. The written exam shall be followed by the Interview for the final selection. The written test shall contain objective type multiple choice based questions to be solved in the given time frame.

Total Number of Questions: 80

Total Time Allotted: 1 & ½ Hours/ 90 Minutes

Marking Scheme:

The applicants will be penalized for the wrong attempts in the form of 1 mark deducted for it. The right answers in the entrance exam shall fetch 3 marks per question to the applicants.

Syllabus of Study:

The applicants must prepare for the concerned recruitment exam on the basis of the branch specific questions of their qualifying degree standard respectively for this purpose. The candidates can also follow the GATE Exam syllabus to prepare for the written exam and interview questions. The interviewees basically ask conceptual questions and therefore the applicants should focus on their basics in the concerned subjects.
