Name of the University

Indian School of Mines Dhanbad was established in year 1926. It is located in the mineral-rich region of India, in the city of Dhanbad. It was established by British Indian Government on the lines of the Royal School of Mines – London. Indian School of Mines has 18 academic departments covering Engineering, Applied Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences and Management programs. ISM has the following departments and centers i.e. Department of Chemical Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Department of Applied Chemistry, Department of Applied Geology, Department of Applied Geophysics, etc.

M.Sc Tech (Applied Geophysics): B.Sc degree with Physics as main subject, Mathematics as a subsidiary subject and another subsidiary subject from Geology, Electronics, Chemistry and Statistics

M.Sc Tech (Applied Geology): B.Sc degree with Geology as main subject and any two subsidiary subjects from Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry

M.Sc (Chemistry): B.Sc degree with Chemistry

M.Sc (Applied Physics): B.Sc degree with Physics

M.Sc (Mathematics & Computing): B.Sc degree with Mathematics and Computer Science

Ph.D: Bachelor or Master Degree in relevant discipline

Age Limit

Candidates those who are willing to take admission in above mentioned programmes their DOB must on or before 01^st Oct, 1992.

SC/ST is relaxed by 05 years and OBC is relaxed by 03 years
