ISEET Exam Pattern 2014 Details of Examination Pattern and Qualifying Marks
ISEET (Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test) is the entrance exam planned by the Ministry of HRD (Human Resource Development), Government of India for all those candidates who wish to take admissions into the different engineering degree courses offered by some of the top notch engineering institutes in India. The exam was scheduled to be held twice a year. The exam was successfully held last year for all the candidates. The exam from this year has been merged with the JEE (Joint Engineering Entrance).

Name of Exam: Indian Science Engineering Eligibility Test
Conducting Authority: Ministry of HRD, Government of India
Courses of Admission: B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology); BE (Bachelor of Engineering)
Eligibility for Exam:
The candidates should be class 12th passed from any recognized Boards of India which includes the following subjects as the main subjects of study: Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry respectively for this purpose.
Pattern of Exam:
There will be two main papers in the entrance exam which includes the following: ISEET Main and ISEET Advance respectively. The candidates should qualify in both the papers with the minimum cut off marks as stated for this purpose. Given below are the paper pattern and qualifying criteria for both the examinations:
Paper Pattern of ISEET Main:
The Indian Science Engineering Entrance Test is an objective type paper having multiple choice based questions on the following:
Reading Comprehension
Critical Thinking based questions and
LR (Logical Reasoning) respectively
Duration of Exam: 3 Hours
ISEET Advance Exam Pattern:
There will be objective type MCQs on the core subjects studied in the Science Group of papers – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics respectively, generally, aimed at testing the basic problem- solving ability of candidates in the concerned subjects.

Duration of Exam: 3 Hours
Qualifying Criteria:
The candidates should score the minimum marks as required for this purpose to confirm their selection in the concerned exam. The weightage of marks is given as follows:
Class 12th Board Exam/ Qualifying Exam: 40% of the total score
ISEET Main Exam: 30%
ISEET Advance Exam: 30%
Total Weightage given to Entrance Exam: 60%
Syllabus for ISEET-
The candidates should prepare as per the Board Exam syllabus or Class 11th syllabus for the concerned Board under which they are studying to prepare for this exam.
