ISAT Exam Pattern 2014 Details for Scheme of Examination & Paper Pattern
ISAT stands for Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology. The entrance exam is the admission test for the selection of eligible and qualified candidates in the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology under its different under graduate courses in the field of Engineering & Technology. The exam is conducted every year in the months of April/ May respectively by the concerned Institute in the manner as detailed here below.

Eligibility for Exam:
The candidates should have passed Class 12th/intermediate from a recognized central/ state Boards of India with the minimum of 70% (60% marks for SC/ST candidates) marks obtained in the following subjects- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics respectively.
Scheme of Exam:
There will be an objective type examination held in the paper –pencil modes for all the candidates. The paper will be divided into three main sections:
Section 1- Physics
Section 2- Chemistry and
Section 3- Mathematics
Marking Criteria:
The candidates shall be given three marks for each correct answers marked by them while there will be a deduction of 1 mark for each incorrect answers marked by them. The candidates providing more than one answer to a question shall be considered as wrong and there will be deduction of one mark for it. Since, there is negative marking in the exam for the unattempted questions; hence, the candidates should attempt all the questions in the exam.

Mode of Examination:
The candidates will be given OMR Sheets for answering the questions. Only Blue/ Black Ball Point pens can be used for answering the questions. The candidates are required to darken the ovals completely in order it is evaluated by the machine used for evaluation of OMRs.
