The IIT Roorkee will be inviting applications from engineering students for admissions in the M.Tech, PGD & Ph.D Programmes for its new academic session 2014 shortly. The Institute also offers various Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Certificate and Ph.D programmes at its campus. This advertisement for admission has been already published on its official web page- iitr.ac.in, whereas, the online application link will also be available very soon. Application Methodology:
Aspirants fulfilling the entire criteria can apply for admissions through- iitr.ac.in. They are supposed to download the particular official prospectus along with the application form from here. After downloading, fill the form carefully in block letters with accurate personal & academic details. Then, pay the charged application fee through a DD amounting to the set applicable fee in accordance with the official admission notification. Finally, after the successful payment, send the application form to the recommended address before 30th June, 2014 along with copies of other crucial documents.

M.Tech/ PGD (Hydrology) | Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Mechanical/Agricultural Engineering/ Hydrology or its equivalent qualification. |
| M.Tech/PGD (Water Resource Mgt.) | Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Electrical/Mechanical/ Electronics & Tele-Communication Engineering or its equivalent. |
| M.Tech/PGD (Irrigation Water Mgt.) | Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engg. or equivalent /Agricultural Engineering or its equivalent or M.Sc. Agriculture in Agronomy, Soil Science, Agro meteorology with mathematics as one of the paper at the level of B.Sc./B.Sc. Agriculture. |

System of Admission:
Entitled contenders will be selected on the grounds of their achievement in this Entrance exam and thereon will be invited for the further Interview round. The admission of candidates will take place on the base of their attainment in the Written Entrance Exam and a Viva voce conducted by the IIT. Applicants, who do not attend this Entrance test, will not be eligible for admission in these programmes.
