IIFM Exam Pattern 2014

Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) runs PGDFM, M.Phil and FPM Programmes and conducts the admission test so as to admit the eligible candidates for the said programmes. The examination pattern of the IIFM study programmes can be read from the following sections.

Overview of IIFM Study Programmes:

1. PGDFM (Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management)

2. M.Phil (Natural Resource Management)

3. FPM (Fellow Programme in Management)

1. Pattern of PGDFM Exam:

The admission in PGDFM programme is done through CAT (Common Admission Test) and GD/PI rounds. It is required to pass Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds to finally get call for counseling.

Exam Sections of CAT:  

1. Logical Reasoning and Verbal Ability: 30 Ques.

2. Data interpretation and Quantitative Ability: 30 Ques.

Time Limit: 2hr 20 min.

Sectional cutoff marks are applicable.

GD/PI Centres:  Kolkata, Delhi, Bhopal, Bengaluru

Syllabus of PGDFM Exam:

(i) Verbal Ability: Vocabulary, Grammar, and Verbal Reasoning.

(ii) Logical & analytical reasoning: Relation based questions, Puzzles, Arguments, Coding and Decoding, Graphs, Statements and Assumptions, Courses of Action & Syllogisms.

(iii) Quantitative Ability: Geometry, Arithmetic and Algebra Etc.

(iv)Data Interpretation: Data sufficiency, Data Interpretation Etc.

2. Pattern of M.Phil (Natural Resource Management):

The applicants who have applied for M. Phil programme should appear for Written Examination that comprised of the following sections: Analytical Ability, English Ability, and Natural Resource Management Aptitude. There will be minimum sectional cutoff marks that will be decided by the selection committee.

However, the test is not mandatory for the candidates who have passed UGC- CSIR OR ICAR-NET eligibility test OR passed PGDFM programme (min 3 OGPA Marks) from IIFM. The next round of selection procedure will be Interview. The exempted classes have to directly appear for Interview. The final selection of the person will take into account their performance in Interview and or written test.
