Haryana PMT Exam Pattern 2014 Details of Examination and Eligibility Criteria

The Haryana Pre Medical Test (PMT) is the state level exam conducted every year by the Maharishi Dayanand University Rohtak for admitting students in the under graduate medical courses available in the university and other affiliated medical and dental colleges of Haryana. The exam is organized by the university every year in the April/ May months respectively. The applicants for the current session shall be short listed on the basis of the AIPMT 2014 held on 5^th May 2014.

Name of Exam: Haryana Pre Medical Test

Conducting Authority: Maharshi Dayanand University

Courses of Admission: MBBS/ BDS/ BAMS

Eligibility for Exam:

The candidates should be an Indian Citizen and must have passed Intermediate/ Class 12^th with a minimum of 50% marks in the following main subjects: Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics respectively. The applicants in order to participate in the concerned exam should be a permanent resident of the Haryana state.

Pattern of Exam:

The applicants will be required to appear and qualify in an objective type written test having questions on the following main subjects:

1) Chemistry (45 Questions)

2) Physics (45 Questions)

3) Botany (45 Questions)

4) Zoology (45 Questions)

Total Number of Questions: 180

Total Marks Allotted: 720

Marking Scheme:

The applicants shall be given 4 marks for every correct question attempted by them while there will be a deduction of 1 mark in case of wrong questions attempted by them respectively. The paper will be held in the paper-pencil modes only. The candidates can use the Blue/ Black Ball Point pens for answering questions in the exam. Questions left unattempted by the applicants will be considered as wrong and lead to negative marking in the exam.

The candidates shall be selected on the basis of their ranks and merit obtained in the exam. Students with better ranks shall be allotted good colleges in the counseling. The counseling for the current session shall be done on the basis of the AIPMT 2014 Scores by the Haryana Government.
