GUJCET Exam Pattern 2014 Details of Syllabus and Paper Pattern

The GUJCET is the short form for the Gujarat Common Entrance Test. The exam is a state level entrance exam conducted for admitting candidates eligible in different course exams including the exam pattern for the admissions to different under graduate and post graduate programmes as made available in the state affiliated and other private universities. Exam Pattern:

The candidates will be required to pass the written test held in objective modes and MCQs on the following main topics:

Biology

Chemistry and

Physics

Total Number of Questions: 120

For each section of the paper, there will be 40 questions.

Duration of Exam: 3 Hours

Marking Basis:

The candidates will get 1 mark for each correct question attempted by them while there will be no negative marking for the incorrect questions attempted by them.

Mathematics:

Ellipse; Circles; 3D Geometry; Differentiation in Equations; Vectors; Parabola, Indefinite Integration; and Hyperbola respectively

Physics:

Electromagnetic Waves and Optics, Static Electricity, Current Electricity, Semiconductor Electronics and Communications, Radiations and Matter, Atom and Nucleus etc

Chemistry:

Solution, Thermodynamics, Elements, Compound, Alcohols, Phenol and Ether, Nitro Compounds, Surface Chemistry, Chemistry in Everyday Life, Biomolecules, Atomic Structure and Chemical Bonding, Solid State, P Bock Elements, Polymer Substances, and Compounds etc.

Biology:

Respiration, Mineral Nutrition, Modern Methods of Diagnosis, Circulation in Animals, Photosynthesis, Movement and Locomotion in animals, Reproduction and Development, Organism and their Environment, Biological Resources and Biodiversity, Food Production, Pollution and Its Control, Immunity and Human Health, Growth, Regeneration and Ageing, Human Endocrine System and Excretion and Osmo Regulation in animals etc.
