Eligibility for Enrolment in Ph.D. Program in Humanities, Mathematics and Sciences (Full Time):

Candidates with a Master’s degree with not less than 55% of marks or a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 5.51 and above in the 10.00 point scale under CBCS, under the faculties of Humanities, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry are eligible to apply for Ph.D. under this category. Their degree in the related course should have been awarded by a university accredited by UGC. The candidates who have qualified for Master’s Degree and have a Bachelor’s Degree with a First Class or those who have only a Bachelor’s Degree with a First Class, with at least ten years of professional experience, wherein they have used innovative technologies or ideas in the execution of their job-related duties and have published at least 3 papers in reputed journals, may also be considered for admission to the doctoral program.

Assortment Process:

All the candidates have to appear in the Written Test, and the candidates who score well in the test will further have to go through Personal Interview session will be designed to examine the intellectual  & creative ability, research aptitude and the to check the general knowledge of the potential candidates.

Note:

The aspirants who have qualified in research fellowships by writing the centrally conducted UGC/CSIR (NET)/JRF and similar tests specifically recognized by the University or M.Phill from recognized university shall be exempted from the written test.

Procedure for Registration:

The Students, who accomplish all the said requirements of the concerned courses they have applied for, are required to fill the Gujrat Technological University’s online Admission form through logging on to the official web portal. Provide all the asked details in prescribed way & attach rest of the needed copies of testimonials along with the form. Once all the documents are enclosed in an envelope, it needs to be mailed / posted to the postal address of University within the specified last dates. Applications received after the last dates will not be entertained.
