GOA CET Exam Pattern 2014 Question Paper Pattern and Marking Criteria
The Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) has been announced for all the eligible candidates who wish to appear in the concerned exam. The exam provides admission to students in different engineering courses as made available in all the state universities and colleges of Goa. The entrance exam is organized every year by the Directorate of Technical Education Goa in the months of April/ May respectively.

Exam Pattern for Goa CET 2014:
The candidates are required to appear in a common entrance exam which is based on the five sets of question papers having questions on the following main topics:
Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology and Computer Science respectively
Each set of paper has 75 multiple choice based questions on the above stated topics.
Duration of Exam: 2 hours
Marking Criteria:
The candidates will be awarded one mark for each correct questions attempted by them. There will be no negative marking however, for the wrong answers attempted by the candidates in the exam. Hence, the candidates can attempt as number of questions as they like for this purpose.
Syllabus for Goa CET:
The candidates should prepare as per the syllabus of the Intermediate/ Class 12th standard of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
Date of Application for Goa CET 2014: 15th April 2014
Initially the entrance exam applications were scheduled to be closed in the first week of April which is now shifted to the second week due to revised election schedule.
Date of Exam: First week of May/ 6th May 2014
Time of Exam: 10:00 am to 12:00 noon (morning shift)
2:00 pm to 4:00 pm (evening shift)

Eligibility for Goa CET:
The candidates applying for the GCET 2014 should be Intermediate /Class 12th with a minimum of 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ ST/OBC) with the following subjects to be studied compulsorily for this purpose: Chemistry/ Bio Technology/ Computer Science/ Biology respectively from any recognized Central/ State Boards for Secondary Education.
Or
Diploma from a central/ state recognized institute of a minimum of three years duration with a minimum of 50% marks
Or
International Diploma in 50% marks with Mathematics to be studied as one of the main subjects.
