GMAT 2014 Exam Details and Applying Methodology
The GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) is a management entrance exam conducted for short listing candidates in different management programmes available in the global as well as international level. The exam is organized by the GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council) every year at least five times at fixed intervals. GMAT 2014 Exam Info:
The Graduate Management Admission Test is a computer based objective type test conducted to test the writing, quantitative, verbal, reading and analytical abilities. The candidates qualifying in the entrance exam will be admitted in some of the top B-Schools in India and abroad. The GMAT exam can be taken in an interval of 31 days between two attempts of the candidates. The exam is held at least five times throughout the year.
Exam Pattern for GMAT 2014:
The GMAT exam is held in computer modes for all the candidates. The main feature of this exam is the modifying difficulty levels in the question paper. The candidates will be initially judged on easy question which is later improved upon as per the ability of the candidate. The difficulty level of the questions keeps on increasing as the candidates answer more number of correct questions.
The main topics that are covered by the entrance exam include the following:
Analytical Writing Assessment (1 question): 30 Minutes
Integrated Reasoning (12 Questions): 30 Minutes
Quantitative Section (37 Questions): 75 Minutes
Verbal Ability (41 Questions): 75 Minutes
Duration of Exam: three hours and thirty minutes
Eligibility for GAMT:
The candidates should have completed 17 years of age for appearing in the exam. There are no educational qualifications specifically required for appearing in the exam. The candidates should however, confirm the age eligibility as required for this purpose.
Those candidates who are below the required age limit can appear in the exam by submitting the written permission from their parents/ guardian.
Manner of Selection:
The candidates qualifying in the GMAT 2014 will be required to go through further rounds of selection which includes the following: Statement of Purposes, Letters of Recommendation, Personal Interview and other rounds as required by the concerned B-Schools for this purpose. The test scores of the GMAT will be provided to the candidates soon after the test gets over. The scores will be considered valid for a period of five years.

Method to Apply:
The candidates who wish to participate in the concerned exam can do so through the website of GMAC i.e. gmat.com. The fee for online application is USD 250. The candidates can select the examination centres of their choice and book their slots for the exam from the concerned website.
