Paper Pattern:
The exam for the DRDO CEPTAM shall be held in the following two stages:
1. Written Exam
2. Interview
The candidates will be required to qualify in both the exams of DRDO. The written test for the Defence Research Development Organization shall be held in the objective modes having multiple choice based questions on the following:
Section I: Subject Knowledge Specific Questions (100 Questions) 400 Marks
Section II: Aptitude for Applied Research & Development (50 Questions)
Total Number of Questions: 150
Total Marks Allotted: 500
Distribution of Marks for Aptitude for Applied Research & Development:
LR (Logical Relations) 10 Questions – 20 Marks
Spatial Reasoning (10 Questions) 20 Marks
Concept Formation (10 Questions) 20 Marks
Numerical Reasoning (10 Questions) 20 Marks and
Abstract Reasoning (10 Questions) 20 Marks

Total Allotted Marks: 100
Marking Criteria:
The applicants will be given 4 marks per question for all the Subject specific questions asked in the exam and 1 mark will be deducted for the incorrect questions attempted by them. The Section II will be scored on the basis of 2 marks per question and ½ marks deducted for the incorrect questions answered by them respectively.
The candidates who qualify in the written exam shall be called for the next round of examination i.e. Interview by the DRDO on the dates as specified. The candidates should possess a good knowledge of the concepts pertaining to their subjects studied at the qualifying exam level i.e. B.E. / B.Tech respectively.
