The Andhra Pradesh Legislature passed a special Act for the establishment of this university with the basic objective of providing higher education to the students enrolled in the cultural language. The university provides a number of courses under the following main disciplines: Comparative Language & Translation Studies, Education & Human Resource Development, Science & Technology, Human & Social Science, Commerce & Management, and Herbal Studies and Naturo Sciences respectively.
