The Dr YS Parmar University of Horticulture Forestry is one of the unique universities of agricultural education in India. Eligibility for Admissions:
For UG Courses: The applicants should be Intermediate/ Class 12th passed in the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics/ Agriculture and English respectively with a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for SC/ST) from any recognized Board/ University for this purpose.
For PG Courses: The applicants in order to take admissions in the M.Sc course should be B.Sc Horticulture/ Agriculture/ Forestry/ Animal Husbandry with a minimum of 6/10 CGPA (5.5. /10 for SC/ST applicants) or 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST candidates) from any recognized university.
The applicants in order to avail admissions in the MBA course should be graduation passed from any discipline with the minimum of 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST) of any recognized university respectively.
Admission Procedure:
The applicants for the MBA course shall be selected on the basis of the scores obtained in the HP-CMAT (Himachal Pradesh- Common Management Admission Test) and Management Admission Test (MAT) respectively in the proportion of 75% and 25%.
The candidates should obtain the Prospectus and Application Forms from the Office of the Registrar, Academic Section, Administrative Block on payment of the requisite amount of fee as prescribed for this purpose.
Application Fee:
Rs 1200 (Rs 800 for SC/ST) on cash payment
Rs 1250 (Rs 850 for SC/ST) on DD payment
Last Date to Apply:
For Self Financing UG Courses: 10th July 2014 (with late fee)
For PG Courses:
M.Sc- 24th June 2014 (without late fee); 1st July 2014 (with late fee)
MBA (Agribusiness)/ MBA- 18th June 2014 (without late fee); 25th June 2014 (with late fee)
